My Knitting Story
Now that you know what goodies we are gonna post every other Wednesday let me introduce myself!
I’m Ash Sears, your knitting obsessed tour guide here at Knit, Sip, Repeat. Just a quirky gal super duper excited to share her passion for all things knitting with the world.

When I was a little girl, my great grandmother actually taught me how to crochet. It was one of the fondest memories I have from my childhood.
Just her and I yacking over a ball of yarn while looping and tucking our projects into submission.
Over the years, I forgot how to crochet. Taught myself how to do it in my mid 30s, but quickly figured out that there was a limited amount of things that I enjoyed crocheting.
Everytime I would go to the book store to score more crochet patterns, all I could find were knitting books. Knit, knit, knit, knit.
Before I learned how to knit, it terrified me. The idea of dropping a stitch and having to start my work all over again was horrifying.
That and you had to use two hands at the same time. Nope, not for me.
Fast forward about 5 years, and a LOT of squares and circles crocheted later, and I was ready to dive into knitting.
Putting my fear aside, I headed to my local yarn shop and signed up for beginning knitting classes.

Fast forward another five years later, I’ve been happily knitting my way to happiness. (I find when I knit I stab people a lot less).
Wherever I go, my knitting goes with me.
Now all my obsessions are on this blog for everyone to learn how to knit. Easy, simple ways to learn how to get yarn on the needles.
Don’t let it intimidate you, you might just find you like it.
We are constantly updating the blog, make sure to check back every other Wednesday night for some knitting fun! Don’t forget to bring your favorite adult beverage!
